Please read these terms carefully before making a booking with Busiby.

1. Definitions

"Busiby" means Busiby Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. "Customer" means the person making the booking. "Booking" means any confirmed reservation of vehicle hire services.

2. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is not confirmed until Busiby has issued a written booking confirmation (by email or SMS) containing a unique booking reference. Provisional quotes do not constitute a confirmed booking. Busiby reserves the right to decline any booking without obligation.

3. Payment

Prices quoted are inclusive of fuel, driver, and VAT (where applicable) unless otherwise stated. Payment terms will be outlined at the time of booking. Overdue invoices may incur a late payment charge of 8% above Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • More than 72 hours before departure: Full refund
  • 48–72 hours before departure: 25% cancellation fee
  • 24–48 hours before departure: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 24 hours before departure: Full charge may apply

Cancellations must be made in writing to bookings@busiby.co.uk. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.

5. Vehicle & Driver Availability

Busiby will make every reasonable effort to provide the vehicle type confirmed in your booking. In exceptional circumstances (e.g. vehicle breakdown), Busiby reserves the right to substitute an equivalent or superior vehicle. If no suitable alternative is available, a full refund will be issued.

6. Passenger Conduct

The Customer is responsible for the conduct of all passengers. Busiby drivers may refuse to carry passengers whose behaviour poses a risk to the driver, other passengers, or the vehicle. No refund will be issued in such circumstances. Any damage to the vehicle caused by passengers will be charged to the Customer.

  • Alcohol consumption is permitted only with prior written consent from Busiby
  • Smoking (including vaping) is strictly prohibited on all vehicles
  • Illegal substances are strictly prohibited

7. Luggage & Lost Property

Busiby accepts no liability for loss or damage to luggage or personal property carried on its vehicles unless caused by gross negligence of Busiby or its drivers. Passengers are advised to ensure their personal belongings are adequately insured.

Lost property found on vehicles will be held for 28 days. After this period, items may be donated to charity or disposed of. To report lost property email: lost@busiby.co.uk

8. Delays & Liability

Busiby will endeavour to operate all journeys on time but cannot be held liable for delays caused by traffic conditions, severe weather, road closures, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, Busiby will make all reasonable efforts to minimise delay and communicate with the Customer.

Busiby's total liability to the Customer for any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the booking in question.

9. Complaints

Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the journey date to: complaints@busiby.co.uk. Busiby will acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and provide a resolution within 28 days.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

Busiby reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Bookings made before any update will be subject to the terms in force at the time of booking. The current version is always published on this page.
